İpek Özel Receives Attorney License

İpek Özel received her attorney license at a ceremony held at the Istanbul Bar Association (İstanbul Barosu), officially beginning her legal career. The young attorney, distinguished by her education and personal integrity rather than her family’s political background, earned the respect of the Alanya legal community at this important milestone.

Education and Career Journey

Born in Manisa in 2001, İpek Özel completed her secondary education at İzmir Bornova Anatolian High School (İzmir Bornova Anadolu Lisesi) before enrolling at Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Law (Bahçeşehir Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesi) in 2019. Graduating in 2024, Özel gained professional experience through assistantships in corporate communications while pursuing her academic studies. The young attorney, noted for her advanced English and German language skills, successfully combined theoretical knowledge with practical application.

Internship Period and License Ceremony

Following her graduation from the Faculty of Law, claims emerged in public discourse that İpek Özel completed part of her attorney internship under attorney Rezan Epözdemir, who was sued on charges including “FETÖ/PDY” affiliation and bribery allegations. Upon completing her internship, she received her attorney license at a ceremony held at the Istanbul Bar Association (İstanbul Barosu) on May 7, 2026. The ceremony was attended by her father Özgür Özel, mother Didem Özel, as well as close family friends and colleagues.

Future Plans

Despite her public recognition, İpek Özel prefers to keep her private life away from public scrutiny. It is known that she does not actively use social media and maintains limited communication with her close circle. While the young attorney is reported to aim for a long-term career in law, it remains to be seen which specialty field she will pursue in the coming period.
